Karen has spent the major part of her professional career encouraging excellence in music for dance. She has worked for most of the UK Ballet companies whether as a staff member, freelance musician or contract player.

Her work with Scottish Ballet has spanned 20 years and now coaches young musicians in a unique postgraduate Master of Music programme in association with the Scottish Ballet company and the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Karen worked as a contract musician with Birmingham Royal Ballet and is a freelance player with Houston Ballet. Her work in the studio is recognised worldwide in the work she produces on her youtube channel, The Art of Class and in streaming service www.idancemusic.com
